- Ensuring precise and timely transmission of information, with a nationwide communication network for disaster management and integrated emergency hotlines(112, 119)
- Finding resources in the vicinity of disaster-hit areas using GIS-based systems and allocating them accordingly
- Establishing a victim-oriented relief system
- Drawing up detailed guidelines for shelters and relief management
- Building private sector's resilience to disasters through effective compensation for damage Raising public awareness of safety
- Rooting out chronic insensitivity toward safety issues in everyday life, through tailored, age-specific education and training
- Encouraging citizen participation in creating a safer environment, such as online and mobile reporting(Safety e-Report)
- Reinforcing governmental protection of people’s lives
- Establishing a safety welfare system tailored to the needs of senior citizens, the disabled, and others particularly vulnerable to safety threats
- Reassessing and enhancing safety in daily life, such as expanding pedestrian-first roads and reinforcing earthquake resistance of buildings
