Interior and Safety Minister Chin Young met with Cambodian Deputy Minister Sar Kheng, who also serves as Minister of Interior, and his delegation on May 2 in Korea. The meeting was followed by a luncheon.

Cambodian Deputy Minister Sar Kheng made a return visit to Korea, reciprocating the visit by the Korean delegation on public administration, formed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS), to Cambodia in 2017. The itinerary of the Cambodian delegation included visits to the Korea National Police Agency, the Local Government Officials Development Institute, the National Information Resources Service and Sejong City, aiming to seek ways to expand mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Cambodian Deputy Minister was accompanied by high-ranking officials including three Interior Assistant Ministers, Deputy Chief of Cambodian National Police and head of National School for Local Administration.

Minister Chin Young commented that “Cambodia, a key partner for Korea’s New Southern Policy, has huge potential for development. We commit to share our experience and knowhow on development with Cambodia as a partner for prosperity.”
